With more than 12 years in the New York City and Los Angeles public schools, including 6 years at a French-English bilingual elementary school, I understand how children learn and communicate across two languages. I'm licensed in California and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
I also know this from the parent side. My husband is French, and we moved to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, his hometown, so our children could grow up in both cultures.
